The symposium of core curriculum construction of Agricultural Statistics for the national university economic management of agriculture and forestry Bachelor’s degree program was held on the morning of July 26th, 2015. Prof. Yang Tongyi, vice-president of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) attended the meeting.

At the meeting, vice-president Yang Tongyi and Prof. Li Shuchao, dean of the School of Economics and Management of QAU, respectively gave an introduction on the significance of the course of Agricultural Statistics, the curriculum construction situation, and the development, scale, specialty setup, discipline strengths and faculty of QAU and its School of Economics and Management as well.

Teachers participating in the symposium spoke actively and held heated discussions centered on the teaching arrangement and content, teaching team, textbook compilation and its use, teaching methods and its relevant service links, the major existing problems and future development orientation of this course teaching etc.. In terms of the teaching arrangement, nature of the course: Agricultural Statistics, teaching period and credit setting, teaching links etc. are discussed; as for the teaching content, the teaching purpose, system of teaching content, the key fundamental knowledge and basic skills needing to be mastered are covered.
