Recently, Bureau of Science and Technology of Qingdao City issued a notice concerning the identification of international science and technology cooperation base of Qingdao city in 2015. The International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Animal Breeding Biotechnology of Qingdao City applied by Qingdao Agricultural University(QAU) has been approved as a demonstration base of international science and technology cooperation, which provides platform support for the university to better the international cooperation in the field of animal reproduction.

The International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Animal Breeding Biotechnology of Qingdao City is a cooperative research base jointly established by the School of Animal Science and Technology of QAU and several other universities from Canada, the United States, South Korea, Italy etc.. This base, in collaboration with excellent international scientific research teams of the same field, will actively conduct innovation research on animal reproductive mechanism and technology and further improve the domestic research level in the fields of animal stem cells and reproductive biology.
