On June 13th, the delegation of 5 teachers and 42 students from two German Universities, the University of Hohenheim and the Nuertingen-Geislingen University, paid a visit to the School of Economics (the School of Cooperatives) of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) . Several teachers and students from the School of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University were also joining the visit. The School of Economics of QAU and the German university delegation jointly held a Sino-German cooperation economic symposium in the Academic Hall. Li Zhonghua, dean of the School of Economics of QAU attended the meeting, several teachers from relevent research fields of the Cooperative Economics Teaching and Research Section and the Rural Revitalization and Planning Teaching and Research Section participated in the meeting and Dr. Du Kun served as the interpreter.
At the symposium, Li Zhonghua made an academic report on the theme of "Practice and Exploration of Chinese Cooperative Education", analyzed the status quo and the development trend of cooperative economy in China, and provided a detailed introduction of the situation of teaching, scientific research and social services of the School. Prof. Reiner Doluschitz of the University of Hohenheim, Germany, made an academic report titled "Principles, Importance and Challenges of German Rural Cooperatives" and introduced the latest developments in German rural cooperatives.
At the symposium, the two sides also held discussions on the issues of postgraduate study in Germany, the joint research, the exchange of teachers and students etc.. Prof. Enno Bahrs and Prof. Dirk Winter gave an overview of the University of Hohenheim and the Nuertingen-Geislingen University as well as the postgraduate program of foreign students. Both German universities expressed their welcomes to the students of the School to communicate and study in Germany.
