On May 29th,  Qingdao Municipal Committee  Education Working Committee of Communist Party of China issued a report on the commendation of the fourth high school teachers in Qingdao ([2018]27). Professor Shi Jinsheng of the School of Chemistey and pharmaceutical Sciences, associate professor Bai Haoran of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and associate professor Lan Jinhao of School of Agronomy of Qingdao Agricultural University(QAU) were awarded "Distingguished Teachers of Higher Education in Qingdao".

Distinguished Teachers of Higher Education in Qingdao  are the outstanding teachers selected by of Qingdao Municipal Committee Education Working Committee and Qingdao Education Bureau for commendation for the outstanding teaching reform and talent training of Qingdao higher education.They distinguished teachers with noble ethics, excellent service, exemplary teachers and selfless dedication. The selection work aims to further strengthen the construction of high-quality innovative education talents, stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of the frontline teachers in colleges and universities, guide teachers to update educational concepts, carry out teaching reform and research, encourage teachers to pay more attention to teaching practice, and improve the quality of education and teaching in colleges and universities.

In recent years, QAU has continuously strengthened the central position of teaching work, and vigorously implemented the “Excellence in Teaching Award” selection process for teachers, which has improved the teaching ability of teachers significantly The three teachers who were awarded "Outstanding Teacher of Qingdao Universities" have long been rooted in the frontline of teaching, actively participated in professional construction and curriculum reform, and have achieved fruitful results in teaching research and scientific research. They have made positive contributions to the school's talent training work, and two of which won the first “Excellence in Teaching Award”.

The three teachers being awarded the famous teachers in Qingdao is another achievement of the school's continuous deepening of education and teaching reform and deepening the connotation construction.
