On June 3, the finals of the 2018 National College Business Elite Challenge Economic and Trade Logistics Practice Competition came to an end in Suzhou. The two teams of the School of Management of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) won the first prize and the second prize respectively; the instructors Zhou Haixia, Wang Hongzhi and Lai Yuanyuan were awarded "Excellent Tutors".

On June 2, 141 teams from all over the country gathered in Suzhou to launch a fierce competition of wisdom and creativity. The competition was divided into two sessions, the Parallel Group Match and the Elite Competition. The team was divided into groups. Each team consisted of 3-5 players and 1-2 tutors. The research report and on-site defense were adopted. Zhou Haixia, Wang Hongzhi, and Lai Yuanyuan of the School of Management led two teams of eight students from the logistics management profession to participate in the competition. “Recycling Survey and Design of Terminal Packaging Materials in the View of Low Carbon Economy” and “Current Situation Survey on New Retail Model Development of Express Delivery Companies” won the first and second prizes in the competition.

During the competition, the players uniformed and filled with spirits; they vividly and smoothly explained the problems found in the survey and the innovative solutions designed; in the face of the questions of the judges, the performance was calm and unsettled. "The so-called one minute on the stage, the next ten years of work. After the hard work of several months, we finally refined into dozens of pages of reports, a slide and ten minutes of explanation time. This time we prepared well in the early stage, so we can responded freely on the stage," said team member Li Xuechun. Before the game, the players competed against the clock. Under the careful guidance of the three teachers, they repeatedly revised and continuously improved the contents of the report and made a lot of preparations for the competition.

The competition was jointly organized by the Economic and Trade Professionals Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the China International Chamber of Commerce Commercial Industry Chamber of Commerce and the China Warehousing and Distribution Association. The aim is to improve the logistics discipline system and professional talent training system, with a focus on improving practical ability. In accordance with the requirements of the construction of a modern vocational education system, explore a new model for the joint training of higher education institutions and relevant departments, research institutes, industry associations and enterprises, the competition was organized. The college team also learned from other colleges and universities in the competition to broaden their horizons and continuously improve their professional knowledge.
