On August 12th, the 2018 "Goth Cup China" World Youth Soccer Tournament was opened at the stadium of Qingdao Agricultural University(QAU). There were 306 teams from 33 countries and regions, nearly 10,000 players and hundreds of domestic and foreign actors dressed up. The opening ceremony lasted for one and a half hour and was full of joy. Song Xiyun, president of Qingdao Agricultural University, and Zhu Lianqin, the vice president, attended the opening ceremony.

Founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1975, Goethe Cup is the largest, most influential and most international youth soccer tournament in the world, known as the “Little World Cup”. The tournment lasted until the closing of the 18th. It set up 15 groups. More than 800 competitions were held, three of which were international elite championships participated by professional teams. Carnival and closing ceremony were held during the competitions.

In order to meet the needs of the venues with high quality, Qingdao Agricultural University carried out extensive greening and remediation of the surrounding environment mainly for the stadium and the East Football Stadium, and carried out maintenance and renovation of the public health facilities around the stadium. At the same time, the school also actively cooperated with the recruitment of volunteers, 51 volunteers stood out and obtained the qualification of volunteering to serve the competition venue. The volunteers carried out service work in various positions such as opening ceremony, competitions, medical treatment, carnival, inquiry centers, logistics, reception, business, transportation, translation, hotel reception and photography to guarantee the tournament was proceeded smoothly.
