President Eeva Leinonen of Murdoch University Appointed as Visiting Professor of QAU

On the morning of Apr. 16th, Eeva Leinonen, President of Australia’s Murdoch University, and Vice-President David Morrison, visited Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) and were appointed as visiting professors. Song Xiyun, President of QAU, issued the letter of appointment for them and took a group photo to mark the occasion. On the basis of earlier cooperation, the two sides discussed the establishment of the China-Australia Joint Research Center for Agricultural and Environmental Health.

    Professor Eeva Leinonen, majoring in Linguistics and Psychology, has rich experience in Higher Education in Britain, Europe and other countries in the world. His major research directions are pragmatic disorders for autistic children and curriculum design and application of science and technology in higher education. Professor Eeva Leinonen, who settled in Australia in 2012, has previously held important positions in several institutions of higher learning in Britain, such as Professor of Pathological Linguistics and Vice-Dean (teaching) at King’s College of Cambridge University, Dean of Humanities College, Psychology College, and Health and Human Sciences College, as well as the post of Vice-President at the University of Hertfordshire.

Professor David Morrison has served as senior lecturer, Director of Organizational Research Center and Project Director of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Western Australia since 1993. He was appointed as Professor Winthrop by Murdoch University and held the post of Dean of Psychology College at the University from 2006 to 2012. Professor David Morrison is an industry-registered psychologist, a professional accredited by the Organizational Psychology Institution, a chartered member of the Australian Institute of Human Resources, a member of the American School of Management and an associate researcher of the British Social Psychology.
