On March 22, the National Innovation Strategic Alliance of Chili Industry established in Beijing, Qingdao Agricultural University, became a National Innovation Strategic Alliance of Chili Industry governing units.

National Innovation Strategic Alliance of Chili Industry cooperated with its 28 members that consist of research institutes, universities and enterprises. They worked on breeding, cultivation, processing, distribution of chili and other related technology. It aimed at deepening product and research cooperation mechanism of chili, normalizing chili’s production, processing and the series of products’ standardization, working together to solve major scientific and technological issues which appeared in the development of chili industry, and promoting the development of chili industry from resource advantages to economic advantages.
