On the afternoon of August 11th, the preliminary meeting of East Asia Cooperatives Summit Forum 2015 and the inaugural conference of International Society for Agricultural Rural Cooperative Economy was held at the Academic Hall of QAU.

Prof. Yuan Yongbing, vice-president of QAU was present and addressed the conference. Yuan Yongbing pointed out, the East Asia Cooperatives Forum has been held for eight consecutive terms, which has made a positive impact on deepening the economic and academic exchange and cooperation of the cooperatives in East Asia region, and realizing interconnection,mutual help and learning.

The meeting decided, during the course of East Asia Cooperatives Summit Forum 2015, International Society for Agricultural Rural Cooperative Economy would be established. Prof. Li Zhonghua, dean of the School of Cooperatives of QAU, made explanations about some detailed issues related to the society such as the background, name, objectives, organization, activities as well as the basic content framework and drafting of the articles, members, recommendation of relevant staff, membership fees, publication and the Forum’s publishing business, results selection and rewards etc.
