On June 2-3, 2018 Shandong Province's “Students amd Innovation Cup” college students' innovation and entrepreneurship comprehensive simulation contest Shandong Provincial Finals came to an end in Shandong University (Jinan),  and 106 teams from nearly 80 universities in the province, about more than four hundred teachers and students participated in the competition.s After fierce competition, the three teams, led by Wang Jian and Li Jing with the Laboratory Management Office of Qingdao Agricultural University(QAU), won 2 Grand Prizes and 1 first prize respectively, and won the qualification for the team to advance to the national finals.

The competition was organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and hosted by Shandong University (Jinan), and technically supported by Hangzhou Beiteng Technology Co. Ltd. The competition aims to encourage university students to carry forward the spirit of the times, cultivate innovative consciousness, promote entrepreneurial ability, stimulate the potential for college students' innovation and entrepreneurship. It plays an important role in cultivating college students' innovative and entrepreneurial ability and teamwork spirit, improving the scientific and technological innovation quality, flourishing campus science and technology culture, and promoting "production, study, research and use" as well as an effective way to cultivate high-level, high-quality, innovative talents.

In recent years, QAU has adhered to the goal of fostering innovative and comprehensive applied talents. With the strong support of the Dean's Office, teachers and students teamed up for the first time to participate in the “Students and Innovation Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Competition. Through the selection of the written test and re-examination of the school, three teams were selected and had a hard training for a month. Finally, with the unremitting efforts of the players, they achieved excellent results and successfully advanced to the national finals. By participating in this competition, students' teamwork spirit and innovation and entrepreneurial practice ability can be promoted and displayed, laying a solid foundation for future study, employment and entrepreneurship.
