"The Belt and Road " China-Thailand (Shandong) International Cooperation and Development Dialogue in Education sponsored by Shandong Provincial Department of Education and held by Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology, was held in Ji'nan on the afternoon of July 30th. Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) participated in the activity and made a statement at the activity. More than 100 colleges and universities across the province participated in the activity remotely through video connection and it was broadcast live in Jinan and Bangkok simultaneously. Xing Shunfeng, chief inspector of Education Department of Shandong Province, Mr.Somsong Ngamwong, director of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Education of Thailand as well as representatives of some Chinese and Thai universities, attended the event.

Yuan Yongbing, Vice President of QAU, gave a speech on behalf of the school, introducing the school’s development, specialty settings, discipline characteristics, scientific research level, international exchanges, especially the achievements of exchanges with Thailand. "The Belt and Road " initiative has been highly valued by QAU for a long time. At present, QAU has established cooperative relations with 30 universities and institutions of Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and other countries, The Belt and Road " initiative China-Thailand Cultural Exchange Festival have been held in two consecutive years, and signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation with 13 Thailand friendship universities and institutions including Kasetsart University in Thailand. Yuan Yongbing said, "The Belt and Road " initiative will be promoted by the school to make active contributions to the development of China-Thailand education cooperation.
