He graduated from the agronomy major of our university in 1998 and received a doctorate in microbiology of Nanjing Agricultural University in April 2004. Since June 2004, he has been engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong, Texas A&M University and the University of California at Davis. Since April 2010, he has been a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Resources and Environmental Science at Nanjing Agricultural University. He was selected as a new century talent in the Ministry of Education in 2013 and was selected into the Young Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in June 2014. He is the chief scientist of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences' microbial resource collection, preservation and utilization innovation team, director of the department of agriculture's key laboratory for agro-microbial resources collection and preservation, deputy director of the key experiment of high technology research on the resource utilization of solid waste in Jiangsu, director of China agricultural microbial species preservation and management center. He has presided over many national and provincial-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education, the Doctoral Fund Project of the Ministry of Education, and the National “863” Program. More than 60 SCI papers have been published in Current Opinion in Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, and other journals. He has obtained 1 US invention patent, 9 Chinese invention patents, 2 second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 1 first prize of Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress, and 1 China Youth Resources Science and Technology Youth Science and Technology Award.
Wang Xiaojie, Ph.D., professor. He is currently a professor and doctoral tutor at Northwest A&F University. In 2001, he graduated from the vegetable major of our university. In 2009, he obtained a doctorate from Northwest A&F University. In 2017, he was appointed as a young scholar of “Yangtze Scholar”. He has been selected as a leader of scientific and technological innovation in national young and middle-aged talents group, and selected in the top youth talents support plan “Million Talents Program” of the Central Organization Department, the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and was the winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, as well as hundreds of outstanding doctoral thesis in China. He is mainly engaged in the study of the interaction mechanism between wheat and stripe rust. Important research progress has been made in the pathogenic bacteria pathogenicity and mutation host resistance. He has hosted 4 National Natural Science Funds and more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects of the Ministry of Education, including 973 program and 863 program. He has published more than 60 papers on Nature Communications, Plant Journal and other journal in home and abroad, including more than 40 SCI papers. He has obtained the first prize of Shaanxi Scientific and Technological Award, and one national invention patent.
The national “Ten Thousand Talents Plan”, namely the “Special Support Plan for National High-level Talents”, is an important plan jointly launched by 11 ministries and commissions, including the Central Organization Department and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, covering a wide range of fields, involving many departments and long implementation period.
