Recently, Reviews in Aquaculture, an international review journal, published a new list of its editorial board. Professor Nie Pin, dean of the School of Marine Science and Engineering of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU), was elected as one of the two chief editors.

Reviews in Aquaculture (Impact factor: 7.772; 2019 Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics): 1/53 (Fisheries)) is an international review journal of aquaculture published by John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd, and mainly publishes peer-reviewed review articles concerning technology, policy and planning of aquaculture, including global, regional and national trends in aquaculture production and market developments, aquaculture practices and technology developments, aquaculture-environment interactions, and individual and group artificial reproduction developments. In August 2020, the editorial board of the journal was reorganized. Giovanni M. Turchini, Professor of Life and Environmental Sciences, Deacon University, Australia, and Professor Nie Pin, dean of the School of Marine Science and Engineering of QAU, were selected as co-editors of the journal.

Professor Nie Pin is the top talent introduced by the "One Case, one Discussion" program in Shandong Province in 2018. In the past two years, under the leadership of Professor Nie Pin, the School of Marine Science and Engineering of QAU has made great progress in faculty construction and discipline development, and its academic status and influence at home and abroad in aquaculture have been further enhanced.
