Recently, the Education Department of Shandong Province issued a notice, and the results of Shandong Provincial Government’s Public Overseas Study Program in 2020 were announced after being selected and recommended by Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) and then evaluated by the Education Department of Shandong Province. Four teachers, including Li Shuaishuai, from School of Chemistry and Pharmacy of QAU, have successfully applied for Shandong Provincial Government’s Public Overseas Study Program. Eight teachers, including Chen Qinghua, from School of Resources and Environment of QAU, were granted the Shandong Provincial Government's "Provincial-School Joint Training Program" for studying abroad. And one teacher was subsidized by the 2020 Foreign Affairs Cadre Study Abroad Project in Shandong Province.

Shandong Provincial Government’s Public Overseas Study Program is a study abroad program established by Shandong provincial government to train high-level international talents. Shandong Provincial Government's "Provincial-School Joint Training Program" for studying abroad aims to serve the transformation of old and new kinetic energy, promote the construction of first-class disciplines in colleges and universities, strengthen the developments of high-level teachers, enhance the international perspective of colleges and universities, comprehensively improve the level of personnel training and scientific research, and meet the demand for talents in the economic and social development of Shandong province.

Up to now, in 2020, 14 teachers have been subsidized by China Scholarship Council, and one graduate student has been subsidized by the China Scholarship Council of building a high-level university public postgraduate program. A total of 28 teachers and students have obtained the study abroad qualification funded by the state or Shandong province. In recent years, QAU has continuously increased the efforts of teachers to study abroad, and the number of teachers approved for various government-sponsored study abroad programs has been augmenting, which has effectively promoted the internationalization of QAU's teaching staff, further propelled the in-depth cooperation between QAU and international education and scientific research institutions, and improved QAU's international standard of education.
