On May 18, 2018,  the  Annual Meeting of Shandong Education Government New Media Alliance was held in Jinan.   Huang qi, Deputy Secretary of the Education Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting commended the advanced units of Education Government New Media Alliance in 2017-2018. Qingdao Agricultural University（QAU） won the honor of  ‘2017-2018 Advanced Unit of Education Government New Media of Shandong ’ and ‘2017-2018 Education Government New Media Organization Work Advanced Unit of Shandong’ . 

The Shandong Provincial Department of Education's Education Government New Media Alliance was established in Jinan in May 2017, and QAU joined as the first batch of 100 alliance members.  Since its establishment, the Alliance has become an important site for the ideological publicity and news dissemination on the provincial education front, actively integrating the province's new educational media resources, broadening the open channels of government affairs, and building an all-front big publicity and communication pattern, and enhancing the ability of serving the province's education reform and development. The member units of the alliances actively participated and took the initiative to make positive contributions to be the role of new media, enhance communication, create a new media matrix, and serve the reform and development of Shandong education.  Among them, QAU actively exerts the advantages of the new media platform, builds a three-dimensional big publicity and communication pattern, continuously improves the ability to serve the overall situation, and makes new contributions to the school's reform and development. QAU organized new school operation training activities, early clock-in activities during winter and summer vacations and many extracurricular online and offline activities over sports meeting, graduation season, and the number of participants reached 150,000; the official WeChat released more than 270 pieces of information, the official microblogging new Opened #COME TO QAU IN 2017#, #QAU SUMMER SOCIETY PRACTICE# and many other new topics, QQ QAU official account opened a video column, campus know-how column, reading column, college style four excellent columns; We make great use of the platform such as Today's headlines, Sohu News, Tencent News and other media published more than some thousands pieces of campus news, and the total reading volume surpass 500,000.  In 2017, the school published in more than ten media platforms such as QAU's WeChat Account, QQ Campus, Weibo, Sohu, and Today's Headlines more than 10,000 pieces of messages, with a total number of reading being nearly 30 million. 

In June 2017, the school established a new media alliance, released the "White Paper on New Media Development of Qingdao Agricultural University" and "Weibo Book of Qingdao Agricultural University". With the practice of media integration, QAU was awarded the "China Media Integration Annual Innovation Case" award; The official WeChat account ranks in the national junior college star list of the China; it, with the China Youth Network's short book network, organizes activities such as “Sensing the Three Lands, Youth Dreams” and therefore won the first prize of the national excellent campus editor; QAU used the new media platform to strengthen the network of ideologically Political education, and the related achievements won the second prize of the second session of outstanding work selection among universities of the network propaganda and ideological education competition of the Ministry of Education.
