From May 19 to 20, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Qingdao Agricultural University(QAU) won 3 first prizes, 8 second prizes and 5 third prizes in the 2nd College Student Intelligent Control Competition of Shandong province. QAU won the award of Excellent Organization; teacher Bai Haoran and Wang Fangyan were selected as excellent instructors.

The robotic demonstration work "Intelligent Greenhouse System Based on Lorawan and Web" designed by Fu Xiaobo, the robotic innovation and entrepreneurial work "Smart Home Robot" designed by Yuan Qi, and the 3D printing work "Innovative Design of Simple Oil Valve" designed by Li Qiang, outstood in the finals and won the first prizes.

The 2nd College Student Intelligent Control Competition of Shandong Province was jointly organized by Shandong Science and Technology Association, Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee and Shandong Department of Education at Weifang University of Science and Technology. This competition positively responded to the important strategy of the development of the national "artificial intelligence", focusing on the theme of "smart agriculture", setting up eight projects including smart balance car, robot all-around competition, robot innovation and entrepreneurship competition, robot performance display, 3D printing, etc. It attracted 355 teams from nearly 60 universities including Shandong University and Ocean University of China, with a total of more than 1,400 participants.

In recent years, with the support and encouragement of the School Academic Affairs Office, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has always been aiming at the cultivation of high-quality, innovative and comprehensively applied talents, focusing on the exploration and selection of innovative talents, emphasizing on the caltivatoin of students' innovative consciousness and thinking ability. The outstanding achievements of this competition show the excellent professional level of QAU students, further promoting the cultivation of students' innovative consciousness and creative ability, strengthening the students' practical ability and engineering practice, and playing an inspiring role in the learning and development of other students.
