On Sep. 11th, QAU set up the Korean Language Education Center with some leading universities of South Korea's southeast area. This center was jointly established by QAU and Gyeongsang National University, with University of ulsan, Changwon National University, Kyungnam University and Kyungnam university of science and technology being involved.

Prof. Yang Tongyi, vice-president of QAU, made an address on the opening ceremony and hoped that both universities would forge the education center to be the most influential Korean language educational institution in Qingdao city and play an active role in promoting the exchange of China and South Korea, carrying forward the culture and developing the economy of the two countries.

In recent years, the five universities like Gyeongsang National University etc have acquired 7 billion Korean Won from the Korean government, which will be paid within five years and mainly used to develop the overseas study career. They set up linguistic centers in countries such as China, Vietnam etc., while the China’s linguistic center is located in QAU. Students can receive Korean education at this center with a low price and fine quality, which will lay a firm linguistic foundation for students to take international Bachelor, Master and Doctor Projects and 2+2 double degrees(get 2 Bachelor’s degrees within 4 years ).
