On May 22nd, the School of Animal Science and Technology of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) and the Chinese Project Representative of Royal Agricultural University of the United Kingdom held a discussion on issues of the students majoring in horse science studying in Malaysia.

Pan Qingjie, Party Secretary of the School of Animal Science and Technology, and Sun Xindong, the director of the Chinese program at Royal Agricultural University, held the talk.

Catherine, special professor of horse science of the college, Chen Tairong, senior nail hoofmaster of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Zhang Yayue, a 2017 alumnus of the Royal Agricultural University, were invited to attend the talk. QAU's International Office of Cooperation and Exchange and the relevant people in charge of the college also participated in the discussion.

Pan Qingjie warmly welcomed the visiting guests and introduced the general situation and achievements of the development of equine specialty in the college in terms of teachers' strength, curriculum design and practice, wishing to give full play to the bridge role of experts and students studying abroad, which actively carries out exchanges and cooperation, and provides convenient conditions for students of the college who have the intention to study abroad.

Sun Xindong gave a detailed introduction of the college setting, subject rankings, and study abroad programs of Royal Agricultural University. It is expected that both parties will actively promote cooperation in cultivating talent-related projects and provide strong support for improving the quality of personnel training.

The atmosphere of the meeting was harmonious. The two parties, being based on the principle of complementary advantages and coordinated development, intend to establish a long-term friendly strategic cooperation relationship in the training of horse science professionals.

The two parties discussed various talent training projects such as "3 + 1 undergraduate double degree" program.

The two sides agreed that strengthening cooperation between the two sides is of great significance for bringing into play the characteristics and advantages of the two universities in terms of scientific and technological innovation and personnel training, promoting resource sharing and promoting cooperation and exchanges.

Founded in 1845, the Royal Agricultural University has established the College of Horse Science, the College of Agriculture, the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, and the School of Rural Economic Development and Land Management, enjoying a high reputation worldwide.

QAU has been establishing a good cooperation and exchange relationship with the Royal Agricultural University. In May 2006, a letter of intention for educational and academic exchange was signed, and in June 2006, four teachers and students of QAU were admitted to Royal Agricultural University.
