The international cooperation and exchange work of Qingdao Agricultual University(QAU) closely focuses on the central task of school discipline construction and student training, comprehensively promoting the concept of open education, and advancing the development of the school's international level. At present, QAU has established cooperation and exchange relationships with more than 80 universities and research institutions in more than 20 countries, including Cornell University in the United States, University of British Columbia in Canada, Seoul National University in South Korea, Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and Murdoch University in Australia. And we have sent visiting scholars and exchange students to conduct collaborative research.
QAU has two international scientific research cooperation research platforms, "the Urban Forestry Research Institute of Qingdao Agricultural University and University of British Columbia in Canada", and "Sino Australian Joint Research Institute of Agriculture and Environmental Health", and has carried out a doctoral joint training project with Murdoch University of Australia.
International cooperation and exchange work mainly includes: business trips, government-sponsored visits, foreign experts introduction, foreign-related cooperation in running schools, international scientific research cooperation, students studying abroad and exchanges, foreign student management, short-term visits, establishment of friendly relations with foreign schools, international conferences, the “Belt and Road" communication, etc.
Murdoch University came to QAU to discuss collaboration issues such as
cooperation in running schools, joint training of doctors, etc.
Li Baodu, Secretary of the Party Committee of QAU, led a delegation to visit Seoul National University to sign a letter of intent on deepening academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
Song Xiyun, President of QAU, led a delegation to visit four universities, including Auburn University, Murray State University, Illinois State University, and the University of British Columbia, and signed letters of intent for cooperation.
QAU and University of British Columbia jointly established the Research Institute of Urban Forestry.
Jeff McLeod, senior vice president of Intel Corporation, came to QAU to negotiate a partnership.
