Professor Yang Ranbing Selected Into the High-end Talent Pool in Shandong Province Think Tank

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Talent Work Leading Group Office announced the second batch of high-end talents in the Shandong Province think tank, among which Yang Ranbing, a professor at the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of QAU, was listed. In the second batch, a total of 119 high-end talents from think tanks were selected. The fields involved politics, economy, culture, social construction, party building, and ecological civilization. Professor Yang Ranbing was selected as an expert in the field of social construction. Previously, there were 183 people was selected into the first batch of high-end talents in Shandong Province think tank in 2016, and Liu Qinghua, a professor at College of Landscape and Forestry of QAU, was selected.

Professor Yang Ranbing is mainly engaged in agricultural mechanization engineering research and teaching. He is a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, an agricultural mechanization engineering technology innovation expert of the Ministry of Agriculture, a leading talent of youth technology in Shandong Province, and an expert in the innovation team of the modern agricultural industrial technology system in Shandong Province. He has presided over more than 10 provincial and ministerial level research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Funds, etc.; his achievements won many awards, including the second prize for the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize for Science and Technology Progress of Shandong Province, the second prize for Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education. He has published more than 110 papers and authorized more than 100 patents.

The talents selection in the province think tanks is a key talent project initiated by the Provincial Talent Work Leading Group in 2015 and launched in 2016. It is also the first talent project of think tanks in China.
