QAU'S Four Provincial-level Agricultural Machinery Projects Pass Appraisal and Acceptance

On the morning of June 30, the four Shandong agricultural machinery equipment R&D and innovation projects undertaken by Qingdao Agricultural University passed the appraisal and acceptance, with the awards of 1 international leading project and 3 international advanced projects. The 4 projects are: the research and development of key technology and equipment for potato-combined harvester hosted by Shang Shuqi, dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the research and development of technology and equipment for combined harvester of  peanut as well as seeding and fruit hosted by Wang Dongwei, associate dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the research and development of key technology and equipment for the intelligent potato planting combined operation hosted by professor Guan Hongmin, the research and development of key technology and equipment for multiple-row seeding combined operation hosted by professor JIang Jingtao.

Academician Chen Xuegeng of Shihezi University in Xinjiang served as the leader of the appraisal and acceptance panel, Gu Weidong, vice president of Qingdao Agricultural University, Han Yongping, deputy director of Shandong Agricultural Machinery Administration, as well as directors of the Agricultural Machinery Development and Extension Station of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and China Agricultural Machinery and industrial association and other units with associated works attended the appraisal acceptance meeting. Lui Siguang, Director of the Science and Technology Quality Division of Shandong Agricultural Machinery Administration, presided over the appraisal meeting. The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Department and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Qingdao Agricultural University attended the meeting.

Gu Weidong introduced the development history, scientific and technological innovation, discipline construction and other aspects of Qingdao Agricultural University. Gu Weidong pointed out that with the support of the leaders of the Agricultural Mechanization Technology Development and Extension Station of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Agriculture, China Agricultural Machinery and Industrial Association, and Provincial Agricultural Machinery Administration, with the long-term guidance and assistance of experts and professors, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of our unviersity has made great achievements. I hope that the leading experts present here will give more valuable opinions and make the work of the school to a new level.

Han Yongping pointed out that Qingdao Agricultural University has made remarkable achievements in the research and development of agricultural machinery and equipment, and hoped that experts and professors will evaluate the implementation of various projects and provide valuable opinions and suggestions.

The experts in the appraisal and acceptance group conducted an inspection on the working site, identified the acceptance plan, reviewed the technical data of the appraisal and acceptance project, and listened to the work and technical reports of the project hosts. After the inquiry and defense, the expert group reviewed and discussed the four items.

Professor Wang Dongwei’s project “the research and development of key technology and equipemnt for combined seeding and fruit harvester” proposed a mechanized harvesting method for the simultaneous harvest of peanut seedlings and fruits in the light of agronomical integration, and realized the independent collection of peanuts and seeding cleanly and efficiently, the low-loss and high-efficiency harvest with high extraction rate and low breakage rate. It also developed a kind of equipment for combined harvesting of peanuts and seeding which is suitable for ridge cultivation, providing the technological support for the rapid development of peanut mecanization. The overall level of the project is internationally advanced. In this project, the combined harvesting technology of peanuts and seeding is taking a international leading position, and it is approved to pass the appraisal and acceptance, and is recommended to be further developed serialized products.

The project “the research and development of key technology and equipment R&D for potato combined harvester” undertaken by Professor Shang Shuqi can complete potato excavation, potato-soil separation and lifting and loading at one time. The project realizes key technologies such as the separation of potato and soil with low loss and high speed, and highly automatic control of fruit collection, which decreases the breakage rate and enables to separate potato and soil as well as weeds efficiently, satisfying the demand of high-effiency and comprehensive harvesting of potato planting mode in Shandong province. The technical system of mechanized potato-harvester was constructed under the multi-function haulage combined harvest model, providing technical support for the rapid development of mechanized potato-harvester. The overall technology reached the international advanced level, and it has been agreed to pass the appraisal and acceptance, and recommended to accelerate the experimental demonstration, promotion and application.

Guan Hongmin’s project “ the research and development of key technology and equipment for the intelligent potato planting combined operation” proposed an intelligent detection and replenishment method for potato seeding, which reduced the leakage rate. The invention of the integrated control system of detection-replanting integrated control system of leaked-seeding detection and complementary planting enables the even distribution of plant space. The development of intelligent potato-seeding combined operation equipment realizes precise planting of potatoes without manual intervention. The overall technology of the project has reached the domestic-leading position, among which the key technology of the intelligent detection and accelerated compensation based on the combination of photoelectric and Hall has reached the international advanced level. It has agreed to pass the appraisal and acceptance, and it is recommended to accelerate the experimental demonstration.

Professor Jiang Jingtao’s project "the research and development of key technology and equipment for multiple-row seeding combined operation" proposed a joint seeding method of wide-width peanut, based on the information extration and feedback technology of planting depth, seeding count, distance and speed, improving seeding efficiency and reducing miss-seeding rates. In this project, the technology of automatic profiling of the wide-width ground and folding of hydraulic horizonal push parallelogram have reached the international advanced level. They have been agreed to pass the appraisal and acceptance, and recommended to accelerate the experimental demonstration.

After the appraisal and acceptance meeting, Wang Xuewen, president of Shandong Yuanquan Machinery Co., Ltd. and Shang Shuqi, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, signed the “Intention Agreement on the Transformation of the Achievements of Combined Harvest Technology of Peanut As Well As Seeding and Fruit”. The technology was successfully transferred at a price of 1.1 million yuan.

In the meanwhile, the launching ceremony of the “China Agricultural Encyclopedia·Agricultural Mechanization Volume·Agricultural Machinery Basic Sub-volume Revision” was held at the appraisal meeting.
