College of Information Science and Engineering

The College of Information Science and Engineering was founded in 1985 as computer teaching center originally, then in March, 2000 as computer teaching office. To adapt to the fast development of the college, in January 2001, department of computer science and technology was established and in August 2005 renamed the College of Information Science and Engineering.
Presently, this college consists of four undergraduate majors and two specialized majors: they are computer science and technology, electronic information science and technology, communication engineer, electric information engineer, and computer application, electric information science and technology respectively; with the total number of on-campus students up to 1700. After ten years of development, this department has set up a vigorous team of 66 teachers, with 8 of them getting advanced post.
Under the correct leading of college Party committee and administration, teachers and students of the whole college bear in mind the spirit of "I am in the process of Qingdao Agriculture University's development", unite together, take dedicating the society as its own responsibility, regard educating the students as its own task, persist in the idea of human beings as foundation and harmonious development of teaching, researching and serving the society, and achieve great accomplishment in all aspects especially the student work. In 2003 national college students "CCTV" cup English speech contest and English competition, two students of this department named Yan Peng and Huang Xuan topped the first prize and special prize; in the fifth campus sci-tech culture and art festival in May, 2004, League Committer and Student Union were graded as "Excellent organization unit", and attained 8 prize in single activity, individual prizes amounted to 360 students or times.
