College of Architectural Engineering

The College of Architectural Engineering developed from the School of Engineering, which was established in 1969. In accordance with the plan of adjustment and development, the present school was set up in July, 2005, by uniting the related fields in the university. There are two bachelor's degree programs, in civil engineering, architectural environment and plant engineering. We also provide an associate's degree program in architectural decoration engineering and technology. There are 1100 full-time students registered now.
The teaching staff are young and vigorous. Among the 48 members there are 38 full-time teachers, including 11 people with senior titles, 5 people with doctoral degrees, and 25 people with master's degrees. The school consists of five teaching units, namely mechanics, architectural design, architectural structure, construction and management, architectural environment and plant management. There are Mechanics lab, Civil Engineering lab, Architectural Environment and Plant Engineering lab, and Architectural CAD lab. It also has an Architectural Design and Detection Institute, and an Institute of Building Energy Efficiency and Material.
The college puts great emphasis on scientific and academic researches. In recent years, more than 10 academic books and textbooks have been published by our staff members, and over 200 academic papers are published, among which 15 papers are included in EI, SCI. More than 10 patents have been granted and dozens of awards for scientific fruits are conferred by the national or provincial government.
There is a good learning atmosphere in the college. Many teachers have won medals of excellent teaching quality and "Liuhe" teaching prizes. A number of intelligent students are helped to pursue their postgraduate studies in those prestigious universities in China. More than 90% students find their desired jobs and are judged of highly by their employers.
